Piano Moving Services
Moving pianos (and the difficulties in doing so) is almost a cliche, and for good reason. They’re big, heavy, fragile, valuable items that everyone wants to see arrive in good shape. If you have a piano, it’s well worth paying for professional help moving it. Beyond damaging the instrument itself, you can risk damage to yourself if you try to go it alone.
How it works
The type of piano you will be moving dictates exactly how this works. If you are moving a grand or baby grand piano, the movers will remove the legs and pedals before turning the body on its side and securing it to a piano board. Upright pianos also get strapped to a piano board, but can usually be moved with a dolly. All pianos require extra care.
Pricing
Not included in the base price of a typical move. Fees usually range from $100-300.
